The NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week - Week 17

With teams closing out their regular season in mere days, our Canadian kids put up some great performances with conference tournament seedings on the line.  Not to mention potential NCAA Tournament invites.  Check out which of our ballers had the biggest of performances last week right here ...



NC-Double-Eh Men's Player of the Week
Kelly Olynyk, Gonzaga
17 ppg, 7 rpg, 3 apg, 1 bpg, 14-of-18 FGs, 6-of-11 FTs, 28 mpg in two games - a 70-65 win over BYU Feb. 27 and an 81-52 win over Portland on Mar. 2 to earn the West Coast Conference title.  Olynyk also earned WCC All Academic honors too.

Honorable Mention - Marc Trasolini, Santa Clara - 23.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 1.5 spg, 1 bpg, 16-0f-38 FGs, 2-of-2 3PT FGs, 13-of-16 FTs, 29 mpg in two games - a 79-56 win over Loyola Marymount on Feb. 28 and an 80-67 loss to Saint Mary's on Mar. 2. 

NC-Double-Eh Men's Rookie of the Week
Jarryn Skeete, Buffalo
16 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 11-of-23 FGs, 4-of-11 3PT FGs, 6-of-6 FTs, 42.5 mpg in two games - an 83-81 overtime loss to Kent St on Feb. 27 and an 81-67 win over Akron on Mar. 2. 

Honorable Mention - Dyshawn Pierre, Dayton - 11 ppg, 6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 7-of-9 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs, 26.5 mpg in two games - an 88-67 win over Charlotte on Feb. 27 and a 78-74 win over Richmond on Mar. 2. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Player of the Week
Michelle Plouffe, Utah
20 ppg, 10 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.5 spg. 16-of-34 FGs, 5-of-8 3PT FGs, 3-of-5 FTs, 33.5 mpg in two games - a 54-46 loss to Oregon St on Mar. 1 and a 70-52 win over Oregon on Mar. 3.

Honorable Mentions - Kayla Alexander, Syracuse - 23 ppg, 13.5 rpg, 2 bpg, 19-of-40 FGs, 8-of-13 FTs, 43 mpg in two games - a 79-68 loss to Notre Dame on Feb. 26 and a 77-75 triple overtime loss to Villanova on Mar. 2. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Rookie of the Week
Rashida Timbilla, Massachusetts
9 ppg, 10 rpg, 4 apg, 2 spg, 7-of-21 FGs, 4-of-7 FTs, 27 mpg in two games - an 87-50 loss to Saint Joseph's on Feb. 27 and a 67-54 loss to Xavier on Mar. 2.

Honorable Mention - Nirra Fields, UCLA - 10.5 ppg, 5 rpg, 8-of-13 FGs, 3-of-5 3PT FGs, 2-of-6 FTs, 16 mpg in two games - a 58-50 win over Arizona St on Mar. 1 and a 58-57 win over Arizona on Mar. 3.
