The NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week - Week 13

We're getting closer to the Big Dance in March and there were some monster performances tallied by our Canadian ballers south of the border at the Division 1 level.   Unfortunately we could only chose a select few for honors.  See who had the best of the best of them all right here ....



NC-Double-Eh Men's Player of the Week
Kelly Olynyk, Gonzaga
15 ppg, 7 rpg, 1 apg, 1.5 spg, 2.5 bpg, 12-of-23 FGs, 1-of-2 3PT FGs, 5-of-11 FTs, 24.5 mpg in two games - an 88-43 win over Loyola Marymount Jan. 31 and a 65-63 win over San Diego on Feb. 2.

Honorable Mention - Marc Trasolini, Santa Clara - 18.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 1 apg, 1 bpg, 16-of-27 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs, 32 mpg in two games - a 70-46 win over Portland on Jan. 31 and a 96-79 loss to BYU on Feb. 2. 

NC-Double-Eh Men's Rookie of the Week
Anthony Bennett, UNLV
19 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1 apg, 1 spg, 1 bpg, 14-of-27 FGs, 10-of-18 FTs, 27.5 mpg in two games - a 66-54 win over Nevada on Jan. 29 and a 77-72 loss to Boise St on Feb. 2.

Honorable Mention:  Sim Bhullar, New Mexico St - 13.5 ppg, 13.5 rpg, 2 apg, 3 bpg, 11-of-17 FGs, 5-of-12 FTs, 29 mpg in two games - an 86-72 win over Texas St Jan. 31 and a 75-62 win over Texas-San Antonio Feb. 2. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Player of the Week
Katherine Plouffe, Marquette
16 ppg, 10 rpg, 2 apg, 3 spg, 13-of-27 FGs, 1-of-2 3PT FGs, 5-of-9 FTs, 35.5 mpg in two games - a 72-54 loss to Rutgers on Jan. 30 and a 70-66 win over DePaul on Feb. 2.

Honorable Mention:  Wumi Agunbiade, Duquesne - 17.5 ppg, 9 rpg, 1 spg, 3 spg, 2 bpg, 15-of-36 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs, 36.5 mpg in two games - a 63-59 double OT win over George Washington on Jan. 30 and a 63-54 loss to Charlotte on Feb. 3. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Rookie of the Week
Rashida Timbilla, Massachusetts
8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 1 spg, 2 bpg, 9-of-25 FGs, 31 mpg in two games - a 68-57 loss to La Salle on Jan. 30 and a 66-54 loss to Temple Feb. 3.

Honorable Mention:  Nirra Fields, UCLA - 8 ppg, 3 rpg, 1 apg, 1 spg, 6-of-15 FGs, 3-of-5 3PT FGs, 1-of-2 FTs, 19.5 mpg in two games - a 62-48 win over Colorado on Feb. 1 and a 70-42 win over Utah Feb. 3.
