NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week - Week 10

With the spring semester starting back up and everyone pretty much in the business mode, a few Canadian ballers were definitely all business on the court.  There were some standout performances by a few ballers but we could only pick a few.  Find out which of our NC-Double-Eh hoopers earned this week's Player of the Week honors here ...




NC-Double-Eh Men's Player of the Week
Dwight Powell, Stanford
17.5 ppg, 8 rpg, 2 apg, 1 spg, 2 bpg, 11-of-21 FGs, 1-of-2 3PT FGs, 12-of-13 FTs, 34.5 mpg in two games - a 78-67 win over Washington State on January 9 and a 65-60 loss to Washington January 12.

Honorable Mention:  Kelly Olynyk, Gonzaga - 31 pts, 8 rebs, 1 ast, 11-of-19 FGs, 9-of-12 FTs, 35 mins in one game - an 83-78 win over Saint Mary's January 10. 

NC-Double-Eh Men's Rookie of the Week
Olivier Hanlan, Boston College
17.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4 apg, 3.5 spg, 10-of-29 FGs, 3-of-11 3PT FGs, 12-of-16 FTs, 37 mpg in two games - an 86-75 win over Virginia Tech January 9 and a tight 75-72 loss to Wake Forest on January 12.  Named ACC Rookie of the Week.

Honorable Mention:  Grant Mullins, Columbia - 16 pts, 5 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stls, 4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-4 3PT FGs, 6-of-6 FTs in 33 mins in one game - a 78-69 loss to Holy Cross January 8. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Player of the Week
Natalie Achonwa, Notre Dame
15.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 4 apg, 1.5 spg, 1 bpg, 11-of-19 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs, 33 mpg in two games - a 75-71 overtime win over South Florida January 9 and a 71-46 win over Rutgers January 13.

Honorable Mention:  Kayla Alexander, Syracuse - 19 pts, 12 rebs, 1 ast, 1 stl, 5 blks, 8-of-12 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs, 33 mins in one game - an 86-56 win over Georgetown January 12.

NC-Double-Eh Women's Rookie of the Week
Rashida Timbilla, Massachusetts
8 pts, 11 rebs, 3 asts, 5 stls, 3-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs, 38 mins in one game - a 62-58 win over George Washington January 12.

Honorable Mention:  Nirra Fields, UCLA - 8 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, 3 spg, 8-of-18 FGs, 20 mpg in two games - a 78-52 win over Washington State January 11 and an 85-68 win over Washington on January 13.
