NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week - Week 7

Happy Monday peeps!  It's the best Monday all year, Christmas Eve.  We normally post the NC-Double-Eh Player of the Week on a Tuesday but we figured that you'd want to spend your Christmas Day with family and friends and not in front of a computer screen.  So we have a couple of new names for you and a few familiar ones so check out who earned honors in the NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week here ...



NC-Double-Eh Men's Player of the Week 
Marc Trasolini, Santa Clara
23.7 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 1.3 apg, 3 bpg, 26-of-38 FGs, 4-of-6 3PT FGs, 15-of-20 FTs, 31.2 mpg in three games - a 72-64 win over Cal Poly Dec. 17, a 70-58 win over Alcorn St Dec. 21 and a 69-45 win over Wagner in the championship of the Cable Car Classic Dec. 22.  Trasolini was named MVP of the Tournament.

Honorable Mention:  Anthony Bennett, UNLV - 17 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1 bpg, 17-of-33 FGs, 6-of-13 3PT FGs, 11-of-14 FTs, 28.7 mpg in three games - a 62-60 win over UTEP Dec. 17, a 73-59 win over Northern Iowa Dec. 20 and an 89-74 win over Canisius Dec. 23. 

NC-Double-Eh Men's Rookie of the Week
Anthony Bennett, UNLV
17 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 1 bpg, 17-of-33 FGs, 6-of-13 3PT FGs, 11-of-14 FTs, 28.7 mpg in three games - a 62-60 win over UTEP Dec. 17, a 73-59 win over Northern Iowa Dec. 20 and an 89-74 win over Canisius Dec. 23.

Honorable Mention:  Khem Birch, UNLV - 11.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1 spg, 2.3 bpg, 12-of-18 FGs, 11-of-16 FTs, 22.7 mpg in three games - a 62-60 win over UTEP Dec. 17, a 73-59 win over Northern Iowa Dec. 20 and an 89-74 win over Canisius Dec. 23. 

NC-Double-Eh Women's Player of the Week
Katherine Plouffe, Marquette
20 ppg, 7 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.5 spg, 1 bpg, 19-of-29 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs, 29 mpg in two games - a 73-65 win over Navy Dec. 19 and a 70-52 win over Dartmouth Dec. 20.

Honorable Mention:  Karly Roser, Northwestern - 13.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 6.7 apg, 2 spg, 17-of-33 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs, 39.3 mpg in three games - a 71-65 loss to California Dec. 17, a 73-69 win over Ole Miss Dec. 22 and a 63-54 loss to Hofstra Dec. 23.


NC-Double-Eh Women's Rookie of the Week
Rashida Timbilla, Massachusetts
8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 2 apg, 1 spg, 7-of-11 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs, 34 mpg in two games - a 64-61 heartbreaker to Bowling Green Dec. 19 and a 78-51 loss to Northeastern Dec. 22.

Honorable Mention:  Ruth Hamblin, Oregon St - 6 ppg, 4 rpg, 1.5 spg, 1.5 bpg, 4-of-7 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs, 21 mpg in two games - a 49-35 loss to Michigan St. Dec. 19 and a 66-48 loss to Texas Tech Dec. 21.
