A Canadian team in the Top 25 of USA Today?

I don't know if you know this but ... a Canadian basketball team is ranked in a USA Today Top 25!

Yes people, you read it right.  A Canadian university team, the Simon Fraser Clan women's basketball team to be exact, are currently ranked 17th in the USA Today Division II Top 25 poll as of today. This is a great time to be a SFU fan!

This women's team had a better debut in the NCAA than the men's side and have had a steady rise in the last couple of years seasons since they were accepted into the fold.  This team has been on the rise in this period and now they are being cast into that role that they had been in as members of the CIS.

With rising star like Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe, who was a pre-season GNAC First Team selection this year (again may I add), this team looks to be primed to make some noise this season.

Stay tuned here for more on the impending explosion as the season carries on.
